Global Adaptation Month is a proud partner of Earth Day Network! Our partnership elevates the field of adaptation within the climate change and environmental movement.

Global Adaptation Month promotes and encourages actions around the world that respond to and prepare for the impacts of climate change.  The month-long virtual event will allow people, communities, provinces, and states to commit to taking climate change adaptation action. Learn more about climate change adaptation HERE.

Global Adaptation Month aims to help society up its game on climate change. Participants will commit to raising awareness, take community action, incorporate climate adaptation strategies into their core work, and push for global commitments to implement climate change adaptation to help people, communities, species, and natural environments adapt to a changing world. Learn more about climate change adaptation and ways to make commitments HERE. It's GAMe On!

Global Adaptation Month, while raising awareness of the need for adaptation, provides a platform to unite and encourage adaptation actions around the globe. It connects those just beginning to feel the effects of climate change with those who have already found and implemented creative adaptation solutions.

Global Adaptation Month creates an annual reminder that raises the profile of the need to keep climate change adaptation efforts moving forward!

The next Global Adaptation Month is April 2021. The inaugural Global Adaptation Month took place in April 2020 -where we received 33 commitments from 6 countries. GAMeOn! includes webinars and commitments by people around the world. Climate adaptation commitments by individuals, communities, provinces, states around the world, will be revisited every year to assess progress and modify as needed to increase their effectiveness.

We want to hear your adaptation commitment! Anyone can make one—individuals, organizations, tribes, local governments, businesses, schools, state governments, and national governments. To make a commitment click HERE
